A History of Service

Lynette Howard, daughter of a Cuban immigrant, has been a resident of Gwinnett for 28 years and is proud to lead the most diverse district in the Southeast. For 20 years, Lynette has worked diligently to achieve a balance in development and aesthetics in Gwinnett County:

As an active member of her community, Lynette has successfully negotiated between homeowners groups, developers and attorneys in rezoning issues, helped develop the Gwinnett County 2030 Unified Plan, and served on her neighborhood homeowners association.

A Career Seeking Answers

Lynette received a BS in chemistry from Georgia State University. She worked for eight years as a research chemist for Puritan Chemical Company. Until her election in November 2010, she was a program developer and specialist at the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center.

Raising a Family in Gwinnett

Lynette lives in Peachtree Corners with her husband, Pat, and their children, Nathalie and Alex. You can regularly find her rooting for the Norcross Blue Devils, meeting with constituents, cooking up something delectable, teaching young people, or gardening in her backyard.
